The tiny Dyfi Distillery was founded in 2015 by brothers Pete and Danny Cameron. With over 50 years of combined expertise in both foraging and the drinks industry, they sought to distil the highest quality gins which draw heavily upon local botanicals within the Dyfi UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.

Everything here is precise and calibrated, using some of the most state-of-the-art distilling equipment, combined with previously lost botanical preparation techniques. One prominent BBC journalist went on record in 2020 to state, “Nobody makes a better gin in my opinion, or a better distillate in my opinion in the whole of Great Britain ….this is unparalleled right now.”

Four gins are produced here: the neo-classic Dyfi Original, the botanically panoramic Pollination, and two utterly unique barrel-rested gins – Hibernation and Navigation.

The distillery is the only one to have won the Best British Gin trophy twice, and the only one to have received accreditation from the United Nations for their environmental policy.

Unusually for a micro-distillery, there is a cellar door shop and visitor area on site, where curious gin hunters can explore, taste and chat with the family, open for over 250 days each year. Listed at one of The Independent’s Top Ten Gin Experiences (awarded 2018).
